Where are you Christmas?!

So with only 19 days left til Christmas let me tell you I really want to go home and spend time with my family! Yes I will miss Andy while I am home for a week but not seeing my family for 5 months is hard on me especially since I am really close to my family. These last few days I have been homesick and wish I could be home, yet I have been hiding it because it gets to the point I could start crying if I were to think about it. I am looking forward to spending time with my family and see my friends back home. I wish I could be home longer then a week but with a job I didn't want to take that much time off. I wish Christmas would come faster so I can go home and see my family! Its been hard being away from my family. You think this year it would be easier considering that is this is my second year away from home, yea its not. I think it gets harder because you feel so distant from what is going on back home. Christmas come faster so I can spend time with my family! 

My Life The Last 2 Weeks!

So I have been meaning to update this for a few weeks but I have been so busy with school, work, and my calling which is being over ward activities in my young single adult ward. So two weeks ago we had a halloween party for the ward. We had to cook for over 200 people and also make sure we had food that was gluten free for the few people in my ward that are gluten free. On Saturday Richard and I went and bought food we were very careful with finding everything that was gluten free. Most of the normal food we had was gluten free which made our lives a lot easier the only thing we had to by that was form the gluten free sections was the cookies and the spagetti. We cooked for over 6 hours the Sunday before. Richard (who is the other person over activities with me), some of our committee members, my roommate Becca and I all started to cook about 4 in the afternoon and didn't finish til at least 10 at night. We had so much food we had to take some to the church and store it there over night because we ran out of room in my and Richard's fridge. On top of ward activity I had to study for a test for one of my classes and I had to read a documentary for my history class so I could write an in class paper. So I was really stressed out that weekend. Monday comes along and Richard starts setting up for the activity about 3 in the afternoon and I join him after my test in the afternoon. I get there right before the activity starts. On top of getting there right before it starts I had to go to Lee's (a local grocery store) to get gluten free spagetti (again) because the gluten free spagetti that we bought and cooked previously didn't set right. After the activity I felt so relieve that the activity was over and I slept for days after!

This last weekend was full of fun activities. I worked on Saturday and then Andy, our friend Andrew and I all went to the USU basketball game. We killed the other team 92 to 56. It was a great game. That Sunday Andy and I went to his singles ward. Which we have to start doing every other week, since he is considered inactive in his ward. So every other week we are going to go to his singles ward which means I can sleep in every other week. I have a Sunday nap the other weeks since my ward starts at 9 am and his starts at 1. So far everything is going great. Work is going great. I work about 3 days a week. Things are going great with Andy and I and we are happy together and enjoy spending time with each other. School is great! I love this year. I have awesome roommates and I have been studying hard and keeping my grades up! Hopefully I will update this more then once a month. 

October Conference Weekend

This past weekend was General Conference. I really look forward to watching General Conference when it comes around in October and then again in April. This year Andy and I were able to get tickets for the Saturday Morning Session of General Conference in Salt Lake. Some talks that I really enjoyed throughout conference was Dieter F. Uchtdorf's talk form Saturday morning session when he talked about not living with regrets and to look at the positive in your life instead of negative in your life. One talk that really caught my attention was President Thomas S. Monson's talk from Sunday morning when he talked about that we should never postpone a prompting. There were so many talks that were amazing but those were the ones I really enjoyed. I know that I will have to go back and re-watch the ones I missed and even the ones that I watched.

After Conference on Saturday Morning, Andy and I walked over to the City Creek Center Mall and had lunch. My friend Tiffany S. came over to meet us and catch up and meet Andy. It was so good to see her again and to catch up. We had so much fun talking in the little time we had to spend together. 

Later that day I met up with my old young women leader Sister Turman and her husband for dinner and I haven't seen them in years! I t was so good to see them and catch up with them. 

On Sunday we decided to have a General Conference Party. Everyone just showed up in pajamas and we just watched conference and then hung out after. The morning session it was just my roommates Rachel and Courtney, Andy and I. Then we decided for the afternoon session to invite everyone we knew that was home for the weekend to come to our apartment and watch conference. It was really fun. 

Oh how I love college!!! Let me tell you this year is going so much better then last year! I have been in Logan for a month now and I really do love it! Logan is really a home to me. School started last week and I am loving my classes this year, there so fun and most of them are for my major so it way nice. They make me more excited to become a speech therapist. My job at Quiznos is going great! 

College life is going great! I love my roommates this year we all get along so well. We have done so much in the two weeks we have been here. We have been on a hike, gone to games, have had dinner together all the time, and bonfires. We have fun all the time. Its great I really am having so much fun this year! Thanks to my one of my roommates I have meet so many people because my roommates leave the door open and we have meet so many of our neighbors through it. So if you haven't heard through Facebook or family. I have met someone. His name is Andy. We met at a bonfire through one of my roommates. He is so great, he can make me laugh for no reason, and he makes me so happy. I can't stay mad at him! I love being around him we have so much fun when were together. Our first date we went kayaking and had a picnic. It was so fun.

I really don't know what to title this post so I am going to leave it blank. Well I have been in Utah for three weeks now! Its crazy how fast time fly's. Work is great! I love working at Quiznos. So not only have I been working everyday of the week which is way nice! I also moved apartments this weekend. My apartment complex does summer living which is on the newer side of the complex. So on Saturday morning I moved out of my summer apartment and into my fall apartment which is on the older side of the complex. It took me 7 hours to move and unpack everything. I am officially moved in and everything is put away where it belongs! This week is the last week before school starts up. WAHOO!! I am actually excited for school to start up! I am excited for the new year and to start fresh! I can't wait to start school and for football games and everything! I have a feeling its going to be a great year!

In Utah Once Again!

So I moved back to Utah last Thursday. It was a long drive! I did end up getting my car and I love it! The seats are not the best for long trips. So I love being in Utah. The cooler weather and just being on my own! I had a job interview on Monday at Quiznos and I got the job! Since I have been in Utah I spent the weekend with my dad,  I have gone to a wedding for my roommate Brindy and Mike, I have seen my family, I have seen my friend Rachel, been to the lake, and I have a job all over the weekend. I can say successful so far. I started working yesterday and I like it so far. I am working all week. What I love about this job is that there closed sundays!! I have been working mornings I work mornings all next week too. It is nice to have a job already. I love being in Utah! I can't wait to start school again!!

One Week Left and Car Hunting

I only have one week left till I move to Utah!!! The rest of this week and all next week is going to be crazy!! Filled with car shopping and hanging out with friends that I haven't seen in forever! And I have my room mate's wedding the next Saturday! I am so happy for you Brindy and Mike!! So Sunday is my last day working at BR and teaching Nursery. I am so stoked to be going back to Utah! I have missed it so much, I missed everyone up there and I can't wait to see them. I  have enjoyed being home for summer and seeing my family and spending time with them. 

So I am car hunting! I find it so stressful the ones that my dad likes they slip right under him and get sold before we can see them. Ones we want to buy have things wrong with them which can end up with hundreds of dollars in repairs. I just want to find a car that me and my dad both like and that he knows will be a good car! Wish me luck on my hunt for a car lol. 

My Summer Life

A quick summer update!! So I got called to be a Nursery teacher (for those that don't know what Nursery is it is a class were we teach and play with children from our ward that are ages 18 months to age 3.) I am still working a lot at Baskin Robbins as a shift leader. Oh and I am going back up to Utah in 2 and half weeks. It's crazy to think how fast summer is going by.

Hello Full Time, Goodbye Nannying...

Okay. So my nanny job didn't turn out like I would have hoped it too. The family I nannied for the mom's boss said he was leaving the practice so which ment she was going to have to leave too. So with the chain of employment which ment I had to be let go. I only babysat for them once and their kids were great! I loved doing it. I was sad I was going to have to stop babysitting. I have been working more hours at Baskin Robins! And I am saving my money for a car which I am almost to. So I was talking to my boss and he said he would help me get my car.... I talked to him and he said he would give me 40 hours a week!! I am so excited I am currently only getting about 28 a week so really its only 12 more hours! I can do this! I am excited to start it! I think it will be hard at first but it will kick in and get easy. In the end it will be good for me and will keep me out of the house and out of trouble by staying off the computer so much! Hello 40 hours a week!

Summer Life So Far!

My summer so far has been great! I have two jobs. I work at Baskin Robbins and I got a Nanny job!! My mom's friend was looking for one and I texted her asking about it and guess what! I got it!! So I start that tomorrow! I am so excited! So working to jobs and saving money is my plan for the summer! Not only working two jobs this summer but being able to see these kids make my days!

Last Sunday I got to see these kids! Yes I have all boy cousins! I have two girl cousins (we get excited when we find out were having a girl cousin come into the family).  So the kids wanted to go to the park and I wasn't doing anything so I said I would go down and watch them! I told them I wanted a picture of all of them together! Look how cute they are! 

So this is one of the two girl cousins! I love this girl! I was so excited to see her! She is the youngest of all the cousins. Something else about this picture is that you have the oldest and the youngest grandchild together. I am the oldest grandchild and she is the youngest grandchild! Were 18 years apart! 

So We have a tradition when either I come home or just for something random we go and get Frozen Yogurt!! So Usually it is Kerri, Tiffany Sessions, my sister Calla, and Me. This Time is was Tiffany Sessions, Calla and me! It was kinda of a spontaneous trip and planned but didn't know what time we were going!  I can't say how much I miss you guys!! I miss living with you and all of our fun adventures we would have together and especially our conversations we would have late at night! Living with you made my first year of college so much fun!!! I am so glad I got to know you girls and become such great friends with each and everyone of you! I want to thank you for everything!! Thank you for being there when I needed it, Thank you for everything you girls have done! Love and Miss you guys!!

A Sunday In The Butler House

Oh the joys of having 8 am church is that your out of church at 11 but then you have the whole afternoon to do whatever you want! Usually I would have church at 2 for singles ward but since today is mothers day and I prefer early morning church I went to my home ward! I love going to my home ward when I can. After church today I was laying on the couch and my sister Calla climbs on top of me then Maddie decides to join on the pile so this is what happens me laughing and them curled up and sliming! Another joy of having 8 am church is being able to take Sunday naps! Oh how I love taking naps on Sunday! It's the best thing in the afternoon. Having dinner as a family is one thing I missed the most being away at college! So finally being able to have one with my family again was so great! 

Home

So I have been home for a week now!! It doesn't even seem like I have been home a week already!! Crazy how time flies when I am working all the time! So last summer I worked at Baskin Robbins and my boss was way nice and let me come back this summer and be a manager! So I am a manager at the my local Baskin Robbins and today I got a second job as a nanny 3 days a week! I won't start the nanny job til the end of May but I still have a second job! I am so excited to be having two jobs this summer! Having two jobs will keep me busy and out of the house. So since being home have to admit that I do miss Logan!! But OH am I glad to be home!!! 

You Know That Feeling.......

You know that empty feeling you get when something has become apart of your life and you don’t want it to be over even if you know if’s only for a little while.... Well that feeling I am talking about is what I am feeling now! Today I moved out of my apartment. I have had so much fun this semester learning and growing on my own, but I am so sad that the year has ended! At the beginning of my freshman year I was looking forward to moving out and now I didn’t want to move out! I am glad to be going home and being able to work and see my family again but on the other hand Logan has become home to me too! With all the friendships I have made this year and being close to my grandparents and my aunt and uncle and there kids Logan has become home to me. I have made some really great friendships this year and I am so grateful for every friend ship I have made this year and I can’t wait to come back up and continue those friendships and make more. Things I love about Logan: How friendly the people are, where ever you are you can see the Logan Temple, the four seasons, practically everything except the wind! 

One Year Older and A little Bit Wiser Too!

This was my first birthday being away from home! For my birthday me and my friend Stephanie went to the Logan Temple on Thursday. It was so great to go to the temple! On Friday, I get a phone call after my family finance class and it was my roommates Audrey and Caitlin singing happy birthday to me :) After they were done singing they took me to Cafe Rio ( my favorite place ever!) for lunch! It was so fun we went to tj max and were taking pictures of us with huge floppy hats, scarfs and high heels on! So fun then I hung out with Glen and we went to a baseball game and went shopping for a new shirt. After the game I got a ballons form my Nana, my cousin Johnny met us at the game and delivered them to me, then I  met up with some friends we were going to go have a bonfire but since there was only a few of us we ended up postponing it! So Brindy, Chase and Me all went to go get Charlies Shakes instead! On Saturday I spent the afternoon with my family! We had dinner, played some frisbee with my cousins, and had some cake and ice cream and just hung out! Overall I had a great birthday! It was so much fun!

Relay For Life

On Friday my ward did the Relay for Life! It was way fun. I am so glad that I did it! I was able to meet new people in my ward! There was so much going on there. they did Zumba, a Relay for Life Idol. My favorite event that we did was the Lumiere walk. We had speakers come and talk to us and then we had a slide show. After the speakers and the slide show, they did an activity that when they called a relationship to someone that you know that has/had cancer for us to stand up and turn on our little candle we were given. I stood up for my aunt who had thyroid cancer. I had such a great experience at the event. I would like to continue doing them each year.

Easter Weekend!

The one good thing about living in Logan with family close is that you get the chance to spend the holiday's with them :) I love being able to spend time at my family's. I spent my Easter with my aunt and uncle and their kids! It was way fun. We dyed eggs, and hung out all weekend.

On Thursday we went to Baby Animal Days. I got to see family I haven't seen since before Christmas and my cousins and aunt I haven't seen since before spring break. It was so fun. I got to see a baby black bear, and a whole bunch of baby animals.

On Saturday I went over to my Aunt and Uncle's house for Easter! We dyed eggs, and the kids did an Easter Egg hunt, and we hung out and relaxed. On Sunday, we had dinner and our grandpa and grandma came over for dinner. It was a great relaxing weekend.

Life's full of curveballs

Well a week and a half ago I bought this tub of ice cream because Glen broke things off between me and him. Why you may ask? He said things didn't feel right between us. Let me first say that I was speechless and was not expecting it at all!! I thought everything was going great and then bam he broke things off! He had been acting weird all week and especially when we were out with friends. He is in PBL which is a business thing for the school so I thought he was just stressed out from that and then on Saturday we went to go see the Hunger Games with some friends and then he took me to a free zoo at a park here in Logan. On Saturday he was acting back to normal so it really through me off and i was glad he was back to normal. And that is when I was hit by the curveball that night when broke things off. I seriously cried all night and I was confused. My roommate and her fiance all went to Walmart and I got a tub of ice cream. That next day I wanted answers so we met and I got my answers that I wanted. We are still friends and still talk and sit next to each other in class. I am grateful that we are still friends and that I got to date him. But everything happens for a reason even if we don't know what that reason is yet. 

Spring Break

Last week was spring break and I was able to go home and spend time with my sisters. My boyfriend Glen took me to the airport and then picked me up from the airport too. I missed him so much!! We Skyped over break and It was great being able to talk to him!! I was able to see my parents for a little bit before they left for their cruise. Over break I went out with friends, get to see my grandparents, I helped my friend Tanner ask his girlfriend to prom with over 400 ballons, I went to go get frozen yogurt with some girls from my ward it is a tradition we do that we started at Christmas time,

A day full of Disney Movies

Since today is Sunday and all I want to do is relax. I asked my sister where Mulan was. Then she thought of doing a Disney movie day!!! Since all of our Disney movies are VHS we pulled out my dad's VCR and while she was pilling up movies I was trying to get the VHS to work after about 5 minutes trying to get it to work and it wasn't then finding out that the cords were in the wrong plugs we finally got it working. WAHOO!!! My sister wanted to watch her all time favorite movie "The Little Mermaid" so we plugged it in and the tape got ruined lets say she wasn't very happy. So we plugged in "Bambi" to see if it would happen again and it didn't :) So we took that one out and are now watching "Cinderella". Let the Disney movie day begin :) 

Second Semester has been a blast. I am having a lot more fun this semester. I have been getting more involved with school and working hard in my classes. I have become a true Aggie (for those who don't know what that is, it is when you are kissed by someone who is already a true Aggie on a full moon on the A in the middle of campus). I have mattress surfed down my apartment stairs. I have been planning fun activities for my singles ward since I am on the ward activity planners. I have been enjoying it school more. I am excited to finished this semester out and enjoy a week break of being at home with my sister.

It has been a while since I have updated this thing! I am really bad at it. I know I should be better at it. So lately the weather has been BEAUTIFUL!! It is starting to warm up and today I wake up with it snowing! It is way pretty. Everything is covered in white! Although I am only wearing a long sleeve shirt today and I am not that cold! I have been having a lot of fun this semester and am enjoying college a lot more. Even with all of my crazy projects that I have. This semester seems like it is flying by. I mean it is already half way through February. Next thing I knowI will be home for spring break!

Second Semseter!

The first week of second semester is done! With my classes I am taking which is only 14 credits and 2 of those credits are athletic classes, I already feel like I am behind. But this semester seems like I have some fun classes. I think my favorite class is family finance (hopefully this class will help me budget my money more which is something I need). Being able to take to athletic classes will get me back into shape. But school is great.
